Physiocentric is relocating!

From March 2023 our Wimbledon clinic will be moving, but…

  • We are staying in SW19
  • We will be expanding our Hinchley Wood site
  • Our phone number and contact email will remain the same
  • Our excellent admin team will continue to ensure the smooth running of the clinic
  • Physiocentric will continue to deliver the same brand of high quality care we are associated with
  • As always, YOUR HEALTH IS OUR FOCUS

Our new location will be at The Wimbledon Club on Church Road, SW19 5AG

The Wimbledon Club offers our patients –

  • A dedicated treatment facility
  • Access to a fully equipped fitness suite for physio rehab
  • Ample free parking
  • Access to the club’s bar and dining facilities

What this means for you…

We aim to make this transition as smooth as possible and to minimise disruption for everyone. Over the next few weeks, you may see changes in the current clinic but they will not impact the quality of care you receive. If you are booking an appointment for the new location, we will ensure you receive everything you need to find us! If you would like any further information please ask one of the team or visit www.physiocentric.co.uk.

Video and phone appointments are now available at Physiocentric

Physiocentric has launched an online physiotherapy service to support our clients during this uncertain period. This is to minimise disruption to treatment and recovery for people who are unable to attend our clinics.

This service is available to both new and existing clients, and if you already have an appointment booked to attend the clinic, this can easily be switched to a remote one.

You can have the appointment with the physio of your choice, and all calls are made via secure links.

This is available to both insured and self-pay clients.

How will it work?

Just like with any appointment, your physio will take a detailed history, assess your movements and problems, and provide you with a diagnosis where appropriate.

You will be able to demonstrate activities and movements that cause you difficulties or pain, and the physio will analyse what might be causing the issue, whilst discussing with you what can be done to help.

An individualised treatment plan will then be created for you, with images and/or videos of appropriate exercises emailed to you after your appointment.

Has your insurer referred you on to Nuffield Health?

Physiocentric is not currently under contract with Nuffield Health & therefore we cannot accept new Nuffield referrals while we are in the process of renegotiating our Nuffield contract. All existing referrals are able to continue within their individual policy limitations. We do however have agreements in place with all major insurers.

Why are we telling you this?

We want to assure all of our patients that you & your healthcare is our primary concern. Our commitment to ensuring our patients have the best possible treatment outcome is paramount.

What does this mean for you?

We recommend that you check with your insurer whether you have been referred to Nuffield.  Insurers currently referring to Nuffield include: AXAppp Healthcare; AVIVA & HCML; Cigna.

If you have been referred to Nuffield Health through your insurer, this will mean that you will not be able to undergo treatment at Physiocentric regardless of whether you were referred to us by a GP/Consultant or are a returning patient, unless your parent insurance company authorises it direct with us.

What do we suggest?

Please call our Practice Manager, Lucy on 020 8879 3608 to discuss your individual situation if you require further information.

Thank you to all of our patients for your continued support and bearing with us throughout the renegotiation process.
