General Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy treatment is an effective option for a range of problems from neck, lower back and other joint pain to post-operative care and sporting injuries. A skilful assessment, diagnosis and treatment plan will help give you the confidence you need to regain health, and return to normal activity.

At the core is the patient’s involvement in their own care, through education, awareness, empowerment and participation in their own treatment.

What does physiotherapy involve?

An individual treatment plan, agreed between you and your practitioner will help shape your recovery. It may include pain reduction, physical rehabilitation (with ‘hands on’ soft tissue mobilisation or manipulation) and a specific exercise regime. The physiotherapist addresses the underlying cause of your problem in order to help prevent a recurrence.

Our aim is to achieve full resolution of your problem. Based on your expectations and goals, we will track your progress to ensure you are happy with the result. Our physiotherapists are skilled motivators, and will help you to complete your treatment plan and resolve your problems.

Our physiotherapists use a variety of skills to help you recover. Manipulation, mobilisation, soft tissue massage, electrotherapy, acupuncture and exercise programmes are some of the core treatments.

Why is this important?

A tailored physiotherapy treatment plan ensures your practitioner understands your goal and takes you through the steps to achieve it. We feel that not completing your treatment plan, or not even having one, will lead to ongoing problems in the future.
