Remote Consultations

Video and phone appointments are available at Physiocentric

Physiocentric has an online physiotherapy service, this is to minimise disruption to treatment and recovery for people who are unable to attend our clinics in person.

This service is available to both new and existing clients, and if you already have an appointment booked to attend the clinic, this can easily be switched to a remote consultation.

You can have the consultation with the physio of your choice, and all calls are made via secure links.

This is available to both insured and self-pay clients, with many insurance companies now covering the cost of remote consultations via your existing medical insurance policy (you will need to check with your insurer prior to booking your consultation).

How does it work?

Once you’ve booked an consultation with our reception team, you will receive the usual booking confirmation email.

Please ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection, functioning camera and microphone.

Aim to be in a space where you can easily perform exercises and move around, if required.

Have ready any relevant exercise equipment to hand that may be helpful, but don’t worry at all if you do not.

Your online consultation will include

Just like with any appointment, your physio will take a detailed history, assess your movements and problems, and provide you with a diagnosis where appropriate.

You will be able to demonstrate activities and movements that cause you difficulties or pain, and the physio will analyse what might be causing the issue, whilst discussing with you what can be done to help. An individualised treatment plan will then be created for you, with images and/or videos of appropriate exercises emailed to you after your appointment.

If you are an existing client having a follow-up appointment, your physio will ask how you are getting on, reassess your movements and exercises where appropriate, and then modify and progress them accordingly.

We can also write to your GP or referring consultant if required.
